Art meets Fashion

As a blogger  you are always looking for locations  to use as a backdrop for your fashion shots. Just like rl  models  and photographers we scour the grid for placing that will show a  nice contrast to the items we are blogging. One resource is the many many art galleries that the sl grid encourages and sometimes support.
On my travels I  came across the SomniumPhoto Art Gallery

Who wants to play musical stools

One of the most varied furniture designers in sl is Kaerri in that the range off items and styles are so vast. Ranging from full homes  to decor and even building shopping  malls. Yet her items  are affordable to those on a budget.

This weekend she has brought out 12 colourful stool with nice animations.The are priced at 50 Lindens each.

I found this adorable summer tunic on Market Place, for only 50l$, and thought I would show it to you! It's mesh and comes in standard sizing. I matched it easily with my mesh body. It sits really well on the avatar and the colours are simply lovely.

I seldom mention Helena Stringer's work. Mainly because I am way more "vanilla" (as she likes to put it) than her regular style. But since she started making things that are more in my style, of course I'm going to show them to you. The talented owner of the Stringer Mausoleum released these adorable dresses for this month's round of Genre. The theme is "military", and the dresses are only 100l$ each. I had lots of fun matching the dress with things and stuff I had in my inventory. Most of it should still be around though, and totally worth a look.

Collabor 88 - June 2015 - Post #1

Hello!

Collabor 88 is probably my favourite event on the grid. It features amazing stores and, although I'm a bit disappointed that everything is not 88l$ like it used to be, I have to admit the quality of the items sold there widely make up for the slightly higher price. 

This is the first of several posts on this month's event, because I bought so many gorgeous things that I want to show you that I couldn't do it in just one post without breaking my one outfit / one post rule.

I'm opening the ball with the most adorable outfit, in bright pink shades. As you probably know if you've been following this blog, red is my favourite colour, in both lives. The shorts and top are from Tee*Fy, the shoes (that I had to tint slightly) are from Fri.Day, the hair from Clawtooth, the earrings from Maxi Gossamer and the poses from Marukin (not all from this round but all from C88).

Some cute free things to make your Sunday brighter! Poetic Colors has a new freebie in store, part of their latest release, and I've been stalking lucky chairs at Bitch Tail to grab a few pretties.

Now, you should know that I'm wearing a mesh body in these pictures (the Maitreya Lara one), simply because I think it looks better when taking pictures, but it doesn't work very well with the dress, and there a little skin poking out around the shoulder blade on one side, which you can't see because I'm only showing the front. When wearing the regular SL body, the alpha does the trick, and it's a free dress, and apart from that very pretty!
